We’re delighted to welcome members to our next Tailored Circle gathering, hosted at the Loake store in Nottingham city centre, an evening shaped by craftsmanship, conversation and the pleasure of good company.
This special event brings together clients old and new to explore the shared heritage, values and artistry that connect Loake and Gangotra 1916.
It’s a chance to step inside the worlds of both houses, discovering the alignment between shoemaking traditions and tailored excellence in a relaxed, intimate setting.
Together, they will guide you through an engaging and unhurried evening, sharing the stories, philosophies and craftsmanship that define each brand, from the quiet poetry of a finely tailored Gangotra 1916 suit to the heritage, character and construction behind every pair of Loake shoes.

Founded in 1880, Loake Shoemakers has spent more than a century shaping the landscape of British footwear.
Still family run after five generations, the brand remains rooted in its original commitment to honest craftsmanship, traditional Goodyear welted construction and the quiet pride of making things properly.
For over 140 years, Loake has stood as one of Britain’s most respected shoemakers, a house dedicated to timeless design, integrity and the skill of generations.
From their historic Wood Street factory in Northamptonshire, one of the few remaining producers of handmade men’s shoes in England, Loake’s artisans continue to craft footwear using time honoured techniques passed down through the decades.
Each pair represents more than 200 individual processes, a testament to patience, precision and an unwavering respect for heritage.

Your Hosts
You’re warmly invited to an exclusive in store experience hosted by Nottingham Store Manager, Krzysztof Bator, alongside resident shoe expert Ian Musgrove.
Krzysztof brings over 25 years of high end retail experience and has been a valued part of Loake for the past five years. Joining him is Ian, their in store “shoe doctor,” whose extensive knowledge of shoe care and maintenance is second to none.
Both Krzysztof and Ian share a deep passion for footwear history and craftsmanship. They will be on hand to welcome you into the store, share their expertise and answer any questions you may have whether it’s about fit, care or the heritage behind your favourite styles.
This event is presented in collaboration with The Tailored Circle and its founder, Ash Gangotra of Gangotra 1916, the highest ranked tailoring studio in the Midlands. Ash brings a curator’s eye for craftsmanship, decades of sartorial expertise and a deep commitment to elevating the gentleman’s experience.
Through Gangotra 1916, he offers Luxury Made to Measure menswear tailoring, custom design and a refined collection of Made to Measure shirts, Ties, and Accessories.
Everything is delivered with a level of personal service that has become a benchmark for luxury menswear in the region. His presence adds a founder led warmth and a refined perspective that deepens the spirit of collaboration behind this special event.
Ash will also be speaking about the launch of The Tailored Circle and the importance of collaborating with brands such as Loake who share a commitment to their craft.
He will explore the value of bringing individuals together to learn, connect and appreciate the artistry behind exceptional menswear.
Ash will also discuss the clients he works with and how educating them on fabrics, construction and styling is helping them dress with greater confidence and intention.
